What I collect

When you use the Profit Lights valuation tool, I ask for some basic information about your business: your industry, revenue, profit, owner pay, owner dependence, and revenue trend.

These calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser. They are used to calculate your estimated valuation on your device and are not sent to or stored on any server of mine.

Before showing you your result, I ask for your email address so I can send you your valuation and occasional related emails. Your email address is sent to and stored by my email provider, Kit (formerly ConvertKit), on my behalf.

What I don't collect

I don't ask for your business name, your full legal name, your address, tax documents, bank account information, or any accounting software connection. None of that is required to use this tool.

Third parties

I use Kit to store email addresses and send emails. Please see Kit's privacy policy for details on how they handle your data.

Beyond Kit, this site does not currently use analytics, advertising, or other third-party tracking scripts.

Cookies

This site does not set its own cookies or use its own tracking scripts.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email I send you. If you'd like your email address removed sooner, contact me at michael@profitlights.com.

I may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
